Around 26,400 households in South Lanarkshire are set to receive an automatic £50 from the Scottish Government's new Winter Heating Payment.The vital boost will arrive in the coming weeks and will be paid regardless of the weather conditions.It replaces the Cold Weather Payment - a Westminster benefit administered by the DWP – that only paid out when the temperature fell far enough for an extended period.The Lanarkshire Live app is available to download now.
