Sir Elton Hercules John CH CBE (born Reginald Kenneth Dwight; 25 March 1947) is an English singer, songwriter, pianist, and composer. He has worked with lyricist Bernie Taupin since 1967; they have collaborated on more than 30 albums. John has sold more than 300 million records, making him one of the world's best-selling music artists. He has more than fifty Top 40 hits, as well as seven consecutive number-one albums in the United States, 58 Billboard Top 40 singles, 27 Top 10 singles, four of which peaked at number two and nine of which reached number one. His tribute single "Candle in the Wind 1997", rewritten in dedication to Diana, Princess of Wales, sold over 33 million copies worldwide and is the best-selling single in the history of the UK and US singles charts. He has also produced records and occasionally acted in films. John owned Watford F.C. from 1976 to 1987 and from 1997 to 2002, and is an honorary life president of the club.
John Legend
John Roger Stephens (born December 28, 1978), known professionally as John Legend, is an American singer, songwriter, producer, actor, and philanthropist. Prior to the release of Legend's debut album, Get Lifted, (2004) he had collaborated with already established artists and signed to Kanye West's GOOD Music. Legend has sung on Jay-Z's "Encore", Alicia Keys's "You Don't Know My Name", Dilated Peoples' "This Way", Slum Village's "Selfish", Fort Minor's "High Road", and played piano on Lauryn Hill's "Everything Is Everything". Legend's single "All of Me" from his fourth studio album Love in the Future (2013) was a Billboard Hot 100 number-one hit.

Songwriters Benj Pasek & Justin Paul Achieve EGOT Status With Emmys 2024 Win!

Benj Pasek and Justin Paul have completed the EGOT! On Sunday night (Sept.

8), the songwriters entered the exclusive EGOT club (which is winning an Emmy, Grammy, Oscar, and Tony) when they won the award for Outstanding Original Music and Lyrics for “Which of the Pickwick Triplets Did It?” from Only Murders in the Building at the 2024 Creative Arts Emmy Awards. Benj and Justin co-wrote the song with Marc Shaiman and Scott Wittman. “It’s obviously thrilling and very wild to think about,” Justin told reporters after the win, according to People. “Getting to do it alongside two of our musical heroes… is what makes it most meaningful. Keep reading to find out more…He continued, “And getting to do it with a collaboration that was probably the most joyful we’ve ever had in our careers, on a TV show that is one of our favorite in the history of television shows… it’s just a remarkable thing to get to celebrate.” The songwriting duo have previously won a Grammy, an Oscar, and 2 Tonys. Benj and Justin are now 20th and 21st members of the EGOT club joining winners including Viola Davis, Jennifer Hudson, John Legend, and Elton John.
