Creedence Clearwater Revival drummer Doug, has been arrested in connection with a reported Nevada homicide and missing persons case in California.Clifford was arrested last Wednesday (August 14) in Portola, California, for the suspected murder of William Andrews.

His body was found last Sunday (August 11) in Reno, Nevada, with a gunshot wound to his head. Police believe Clifford drove off in a red 2003 Chevrolet Blazer belonging to Andrews following his death, where he was later arrested in the car after it was seen on a state highway in Portola.The 55-year-old has since been taken into custody on Wednesday by the Reno Police Department, the Placer County Sheriff’s Office, and Plumas County Sheriff’s Office (via the Reno Gazette-Journal).The drummer’s son was also investigated separately for the disappearance of his girlfriend Patricia Portella-Wright, who was reported missing last Friday (August 9).
