Ole Gunnar Solskjaer has backed Gareth Southgate's decision to axe Manchester United star Mason Greenwood from his England squad.
Southgate has dropped Greenwood along with Phil Foden from his latest squad ahead of games against Belgium, Denmark and Wales later this month.The Three Lions boss has been keen to punish the duo for their behaviour in Iceland last month after they smuggled two women into the team hotel in Reykjavik just hours after their international debuts.Both were flown home in shame and ordered to make public apologies.Following the scandal, Solskjaer hit out at Southgate's treatment of Greenwood and revealed he had asked the FA not to pick him because he felt the teenager needed a rest.He also criticised the FA for putting.
