Manager Erik ten Hag could welcome Luke Shaw back into the equation for Manchester United's trip to Goodison Park to face Everton on Sunday.
United, who will be going in search of a third successive Premier League win, confirmed on Wednesday morning that the England international has returned to training at Carrington.
He has been sidelined since August with a muscular problem and has been sorely missed. United said Shaw had trained with the 'main group', offering encouragement that he could make the squad for the clash with the Toffees.
He has not played since the Reds' 2-0 defeat to Tottenham Hotspur on August 19.
