Smooky MarGielaa charged with second-degree attempted murder

Smooky MarGielaa, the 22-year-old rapper born Toumani Diabaté who rose to prominence thanks to songs with the A$AP Mob, has been arrested and charged with numerous offenses including second-degree attempted murder.

The New York Police Department confirmed the news in a statement to The FADER. Diabeté was arrested on September 1 in connection with an incident that took place in the early morning of July 25 at the intersection of 41st Street and Astoria Boulevard in Queens, New York.

Local news site Queens News Source described an argument that devolved into a shooting, leaving one person wounded in the stomach.
