Interim Aberdeen boss Neil Warnockhas revealed the club are expecting to have injured defender Slobodan Rubezic available before the end of the season. The Montenegro international has been on the treatment table since suffering a knee injury in the 1-1 draw against St Johnstone in Perth on January 24, and it was initially determined that he would be out for around 10-12 weeks.
But Warnock has confirmed that the 24-year-old is pushing to get himself fit again ahead of schedule to help the Dons try and force their way into the top six with 12 Premiership games remaining. He said: “Rubezic is dying to get back bless him.
I think he’ll enjoy playing for me. He might be back before the end of the season. We are quite optimistic. They put a brace on it and he had to do exercises and things.
