Neil Warnock has QUIT Aberdeen just minutes after leading them into the Scottish Cup final. The veteran boss announced the bombshell after the Dons won 3-1 against Kilmarnock at Pittodrie to secure a last four place at Hampden.

Warnock, 75, was brought in on an interim basis but was under huge pressure after winning just once - against lowly Bonnyrigg Rose in the Scottish Cup - before the victory over the Rugby Park side in the quarter finals.

Dons chairman Dave Cormack said on the club website: “The club would like to thank both Neil and Ronnie Jepson for their efforts.
