Neil Warnock has QUIT Aberdeen just minutes after leading them into the Scottish Cup final. The veteran boss announced the bombshell after the Dons won 3-1 against Kilmarnock at Pittodrie to secure a last four place at Hampden.
Warnock, 75, was brought in on an interim basis but was under huge pressure after winning just once - against lowly Bonnyrigg Rose in the Scottish Cup - before the victory over the Rugby Park side in the quarter finals.
Dons chairman Dave Cormack said on the club website: “The club would like to thank both Neil and Ronnie Jepson for their efforts.
With the search for a new manager at an advance staged, Peter Leven will assume control of all first team matters until the process is concluded.”Warnock said: “I was honoured to lead Aberdeen for a short period to help Dave and the Board get themselves into a position where they could get closer to making a permanent appointment.
