She detailed fresh forecasts suggesting the UK's population is expected to reach 72.5 million by mid-2032.Burley highlighted that this uptick is largely due to increasing net migration, projected at approximately 4.9 million by 2023 as per the recent Office for National Statistics (ONS) figures.
