Midway through her segment, Charlotte abruptly halted things as she revealed that Thames Water is being investigated over the late delivery of environmental improvement schemes.
Before the breaking news report, Charlotte chatted with her co-star Ellie Pitt, who was on the scene in France to report on the tragic events that had unfolded after a British couple were found dead.
Ellie said: "They found cash in the couple's bedroom, so it will still be a few days because officers are waiting for the results of further tests before they make any final conclusions about what they think happened here." "Ellie, thank you very much for that update," Charlotte said as a breaking news banner appeared behind her.
