Police have arrested six men and a boy over ‘serious violence’ which saw a family motorhome ‘rammed’ moments after a ‘machete fight’.
Officers were called to reports of a disturbance on Caldercruix Road in Airdrie at around 3.30pm on November 4. A second incident, which is believed to be linked, took place in a field just off the A76 at Bowhouse roundabout in Kilmarnock, Ayrshire, two days later.
A 23-year-old man was charged in connection to the Airdrie incident and appeared in court facing four attempted murder allegations.A second suspect has since been arrested and charged in connection with both incidents.
The man, also 23, was due to appear at Airdrie Sheriff Court on November 22 and again in Kilmarnock the following day.Following a major investigation by police, a 22-year-old has now also been charged in connection with both incidents.
