Sir Rod Stewart and Sting are set to take the stage at a charity concert for the wildfire relief efforts in California, alongside American stars Billie Eilish, Lady Gaga, Pink and Katy Perry.
The one-off event, dubbed FireAid, is set to take place on January 30 at the Intuit Dome and the neighbouring Kia Forum in Los Angeles, with live broadcasts and streaming.The star-studded line-up also features Fleetwood Mac's Stevie Nicks and Grammy winner Joni Mitchell, as well as Gwen Stefani, the Red Hot Chili Peppers, Gracie Abrams, Green Day, Jelly Roll, Earth, Wind and Fire, Lil Baby, Stephen Stills and Tate McRae.
Double Oscar-winning musician Eilish will share the stage with her brother Finneas O'Connell, while the gig will mark the first live performance of Dave Matthews and John Mayer together.Sir Rod, who relocated back to the UK permanently after three decades in LA in 2023, will also grace the stage following his 80th birthday celebrations earlier this month.
The concert aims to "raise money for rebuilding communities devastated by wildfires and supporting efforts to prevent future fire disasters throughout Southern California", according to the organisers.The event will be broadcast and streamed live on various platforms, including Apple Music and the Apple TV app, Netflix, Paramount+ and Prime Video.
