Fans of Sir Rod Stewart can get their hands of some of his belongings including art and furniture as he auctions off the precious items from one of his mansions.The Maggie May rocker is flogging the contents of his home in Essex for tens of thousands, including a pair of 20th Century yachting paintings which are the top lots and are expected to fetch up to £20,000 and £15,000 each.It is his third sale with Sworders auctioneers which will take place from December 12 - 13.

Forty lots will be included in the sale - a mix of furniture and paintings from Sir Rod's family home, estimated to be valued from £400 to £20,000.The majority of the items were bought by the singer himself, through auction houses, galleries, and antique shops across the UK and USA.Also up for auction will be a set of 18th century Italian engravings of classical statues, purchased in 2014 and estimated at between £600-800."I think you'll agree, we all feel the need for a declutter once in a while, and that sentiment is no different for Sir Rod," said Sworders' director, John Black."He has accumulated many things over his lifetime and has decided it is again the time to have a bit of a clear-out."He lives locally to us and it is a pleasure to be selling these items, with pieces that range from the glitzy and glamorous to the more restrained."
