Sir Jim Ratcliffe will provide a 'transfer war chest' for Erik ten Hag to overhaul his Manchester United squad in January, according to reports.
The INEOS chief and petrochemicals billionaire could have his minority stake in United confirmed as soon as next week, following the agreement of a £1.4billion investment into the club.
Once on board, he is expected to take charge of footballing operations, including transfer plans. And according to The Sun, Ratcliffe will waste no time in providing the funds and know-how to oversee a month of significant investment.
The report suggests Ten Hag will be given what he needs to 'reset' the squad for a Champions League push in the second half of the season.
