Manchester United co-owners Sir Jim Ratcliffe, Ineos and the Glazers have been warned not to increase tickets to fund Old Trafford's redevelopment.
The future of Old Trafford is currently under the spotlight with Ratcliffe making the issue of upgrading the Theatre of Dreams one of his top priorities.
United fans have become accustomed to a poor matchday experience at home games with the stadium resembling a waterfall when the roof drastically leaked after the match against Arsenal in the Premier League.
Ratcliffe's preference is to build a brand-new stadium in close proximity to the current ground. United are thought to be readying plans for a 100,000 seater stadium but nothing has yet been confirmed.
