Classic British sitcom Only Fools and Horses has been off the air for 17 years, but dedicated fans were still quick to fork out up to £255 for a photograph with comedy legend Sir David Jason, who played character Derek 'Del Boy' Trotter.
And it was an additional £120 for those who also wanted an autograph of the 80-year-old actor at the David Jason & Friends event at The Sharnbrook Hotel in Bedford.
When tickets went on sale last year, fans expressed their outrage at the fees. “Absolutely gutted! The ticket fee is completely out of my reach!” one fan seethed on the Only Fools Appreciation Society’s Facebook page. “Cheers for turning this into an elite day out,” raged another.
