Ben Abraham has written some of the most powerful songs for your favourite pop artists such as Demi Lovato, Kesha and Macklemore. However, while he was telling other people’s stories, the whole time he had his own to share.
And he’s lived quite a life; the Australian born singer-songwriter was a church leader who had a romantic experience with a man that ended up ‘derailing’ his relationship with his longtime girlfriend.
But there’s depth to Ben’s story as that moment became the catalyst for Ben’s self-discovery and realisation about his sexuality, kickstarting the journey that has formed the backstory of his stunning new album Friendly Fires.
In February, the musician shared the inspiration for the album in a touching statement, in turn opening up about his sexuality publicly for the first time.
