Reuters, Dutch military police, who are responsible for security at Schiphol airport, said the singer – best known for her 2019 single Shea Butter Baby – was held ‘because of her aggressive behaviour towards an airline official, and for being drunk in public’.
Spokesman Robert van Kapel told the outlet: ‘Our unit found a woman full of emotions, that wouldn’t calm down. That’s why she had to be taken into custody.’Earlier this month Lennox performed a stirring rendition of Pressure at the Soul Train Awards, with the song having cracked the top 10 on the R&B Radio chart in the US, as well top 10 on Billboard’s Adult R&B Airplay chart.
