Simon Rex and Natalie Lind to Star in Campy Horror Comedy Produced by Kenan Thompson and Johnny Ryan Jr. (EXCLUSIVE)
variety.comEthan Shanfeld Simon Rex and Natalie Lind will star in a campy horror comedy titled “Halloween Store,” which follows a group of people who find themselves trapped inside a costume store on Halloween night with a mysterious killer on the loose. “Murder Company” director Shane Dax Taylor is helming the movie, which is executive produced by Kenan Thompson and John Ryan Jr.
through their Artists for Artists banner. Steven Schneider (“Paranormal Activity,” “Insidious,” “Split”), Taylor, John Lind and Bradley Sloan also executive produce.
Natalie Lind, Kenneth Burke and Andrey Romanyuk are producers, and AFA, Big Bad Pig Productions and Racer Entertainment are the production companies.
Range Media is handling sales. Rex is an actor and rapper best known for his roles in the “Scary Movie” franchise and Sean Baker’s “Red Rocket.” Also known as Dirt Nasty, Rex started off as an MTV VJ and formed the hip-hop group Three Loco.
