Simon Cowell
Simon Phillip Cowell (born 7 October 1959) is an English television personality, businessman and record executive. He has judged on the British television talent competition series Pop Idol (2001–2003), The X Factor (2004–2010, 2014–present) and Britain's Got Talent (2007–present), and the American television talent competition series American Idol (2002–2010), The X Factor (2011–2013), and America's Got Talent (2016–present). Cowell is the principal, founder and chief executive of the British entertainment company Syco.

His tribute single "Candle in the Wind 1997", rewritten in dedication to Diana, Princess of Wales, sold over 33 million copies worldwide and is the best-selling single in the history of the UK and US singles charts. He has also produced records and occasionally acted in films. John owned Watford F.C. from 1976 to 1987 and from 1997 to 2002, and is an honorary life president of the club.

Simon Cowell was moved by an America’s Got Talent contestant who performed after being freed from jail decades after being wrongfully imprisoned for a rape he didn't commit.

The 60-year-old reality show boss was left gobsmacked by Archie Williams’ performance – and deeply moved by his heartbreaking life story.

Taking to Twitter on Friday, Simon shared footage from the upcoming fifteenth season of the long running talent show – which is due to start airing in America on Tuesday.

The clip shared by Simon showed Archie giving an emotional performance of the classic George Michael and Sir Elton John duet, Don’t Let The Sun Go Down On Me.
