His fellow judges, Sofia Vergara and Heidi Klum, have both shared photos and videos from the Universal Studios stage as they pay tribute to missing Simon.
In a photo that they both shared on Instagram, they were joined by fellow judge Howie Mandel in pointing at Simon's empty seat.
Sofia, 48, captioned the pic: "We miss our boss!! Come back fast @simoncowell!!" along with ambulance emojis. Heidi wrote alongside her pic: "Wishing you a speedy recovery @simoncowell ❤️" The 47-year-old supermodel expanded further about Simon's absence in a video on her Instagram Story.
