Naman Ramachandran Netflix has unveiled a five-series Chinese-language lineup for 2025, headlined by major stars and spanning genres from supernatural thrillers to romantic comedies.
International film stars Shu Qi and Lee Sinje will make their Netflix series debut in “The Resurrected” (Q3), a dark thriller following two desperate mothers who resurrect a deceased scam ring leader to avenge their kidnapped daughters.
Another high-profile project is “Had I Not Seen the Sun” (Q4), starring Tseng Jing-hua and Moon Lee. From the creators of “Someday or One Day,” this two-part supernatural mystery follows a documentarian whose prison interview with a serial killer leads to strange dreams and ghostly encounters with a high school student’s spirit.
Currently streaming is the period drama “Perfect Match,” featuring Lu Yu-xiao and Wang Xing-yue. Set in the Northern Song Dynasty, the series chronicles Madam Li’s family as they establish a tea house while seeking suitable marriages for her daughters.
