Netflix's Celebrity Bear Hunt may not have been the global success that was anticipated, according to an inside source. Launching with much fanfare, the new series hosted by Holly Willoughby involves 12 celebrities undertaking a survival challenge in the Costa Rican jungle under the watchful eye of adventurer Bear Grylls.Despite debuting two weeks ago, Celebrity Bear Hunt is still sitting at number five in the UKs top 10 TV programmes on the streaming platform.
Yet, behind the scenes, Netflix chiefs are reportedly underwhelmed by the show's performance, with a source describing it as a "flop".
Speaking to The Express, the insider disclosed: "Netflix execs really believed that Celebrity Bear Hunt was going to be a huge success.
Sadly, the reality is that despite the huge financial cost to the series it has proven to be a flop."Concerns have been raised about the decision to bring in Holly Willoughby, 44, as host.
