A 15-year-old boy was left with serious injuries today (Monday, February 3) after he was stabbed at a school in Sheffield. All Saints Catholic High School on Granville Road was temporarily placed under lockdown following the incident, which took place at 12:17pm today, the Mirror reported.
Emergency services including an air ambulance rushed to the scene to help the boy, who is now being treated in hospital for serious injuries.
Another teenager has since been arrested and is now in custody, according to South Yorkshire Police. A police spokesperson told people to avoid the area and has reassured parents that there is not considered to be a further risk at the school.
They added: "Following a stabbing at a school in Sheffield, a teenage boy has been detained by police and our officers are on scene. "At 12.17pm today (Monday, February 3) we received reports of a stabbing at All Saints Catholic High School on Granville Road in Sheffield.
