Martial has only mustered one goal and one assist from eight appearances since making the temporary move in January. The 26-year-old is set to return to Old Trafford at the end of the season.
However after being cast aside by Ole Gunnar Solskjaer and Ralf Rangnick this term, it would take an almighty turnaround for him to resurrect his United career.
As for Sevilla, meanwhile, it seems they have set their sights on highly-rated Blackburn Rovers and Chile striker Ben Brereton Diaz to replace Martial as number nine this summer.
