Seven fire crews battling blaze at Glasgow recycling centre

Emergency services are battling a building fire on Nuneaton Street in Glasgow's east end. Seven fire crews are on the scene, which is believed to have started when some rubbish caught fire at a waste management site.

The Scottish Fire and Rescue Service (SFRS) received a call around 2.35am, a spokesperson said. There are no reported injuries at this stage.

The A728 is shut in both directions between Dalmarnock Road and London Road as a result of the blaze, with diversions in place.An SFRS spokesperson said: "The SFRS are in attendance at a building fire on Nuneaton Street in Glasgow.

We received a call at 2.35am. It's believed that rubbish first went on fire."Six appliances plus a height appliance are on the scene.
