A serial thief who kept getting caught on CCTV has been jailed for more than two years.Stewart Brown struck twice at the same Lanark yard, stole money from a bowling club and also broke into a house in the town.The 34-year-old was sentenced when he admitted four charges at Airdrie Sheriff Court this week.The court heard he kept offending despite being caught and given bail.The Lanarkshire Live app is available to download now.

He returned to the yard on January 11 last year and made off with another battery from a vehicle.On each occasion after the theft was discovered, the business owner reviewed his CCTV and this showed Brown in the yard in the early hours of the morning.
During the first raid he could be seen loading up a vehicle with batteries and tools.Brown targeted Lanark Bowling Club in the town's Castlegate on June 18, 2022.Mrs Cole told the court: "He was seen on CCTV breaking into a fruit machine at 4.30am.
