A teenage boy has died after being hit by a car on a busy Oldham road. Emergency services raced out to Rochdale Road, near the junction with King Street, at around 8.10pm on Tuesday night (May 21).
Greater Manchester Police says it responded to reports of a serious collision involving a black Seat Ibiza and a 15-year-old pedestrian.
Officers say the Seat had been travelling northbound on Rochdale Road when it collided with the boy. Despite the best efforts of the emergency services, he sadly died in hospital yesterday (Thursday 23).
