Manchester City's all-time record goal-scorer Sergio Aguero has compared Erling Haaland to Lionel Messi and the Brazilian great Ronaldo, and believes that the young striker can help bring about a new era at the club.
Big things were expected of Haaland when City announced they had signed him for £51m early in the summer, but the 22-year-old has surpassed even the most optimistic of expectations during the first two months of the season.
The striker has scored a remarkable 20 goals in 13 appearances in all competitions for the Blues, scoring three hat-tricks and breaking numerous records in the process.
With 15 goals in nine Premier League matches he already looks nailed on to win the Golden Boot award in his first seasons in the division, and now Aguero believes that he will be looked back on as one of the greatest strikers ever.
