A senior manager with Scotland’s environment agency falsely claimed that a company boss threatened to dump medical waste in hospital car parks.Shona McConnell was accused of “sticking the boot into” Garry Pettigrew who’s at the centre of allegations that waste, including human body parts, was stored illegally.
Pettigrew, 56, and Healthcare Environmental Services Limited deny a string of charges relating to the company’s Shotts and Dundee depots.

Ms McConnell, who works for the Scottish Environment Protection Agency, told a trial in November of concerns over waste mounting at the Shotts facility.
