Callum McGregor fired a chilling warning to the rest of Scottish football by insisting Ange Postecoglou’s all-conquering Celtic side is just going to keep getting better.

The Parkhead captain led his team to the Scottish Cup semi final with a superb 3-0 win at Tynecastle, clocking up their 27th undefeated match in a row.

And with a nine-point lead in the league and the Viaplay Cup in the cabinet, Celtic are potentially just 180 Hampden minutes away from the Treble.

That’s not a subject McGregor will be drawn on, but he does believe his side has not hit their optimum level. He said: “Our football is always evolving, the players are understanding more and more about how to play the system and you can see them working it out even every day in training.
