A second teenager has been charged in connection with the attempted theft of a motorbike from outside a supermarket in Stockport.
The 15-year-old, who cannot be identified for legal reasons, was arrested following the alleged incident at the Sainsbury's store on the A6 London Road in Hazel Grove on Saturday afternoon (September, 2) He has now been charged with has been charged with robbery; attempted robbery; going equipped for theft; attempted theft of a motorbike; resisting arrest; and driving offences, Greater Manchester Police (GMP) said. He was due to appear at Tameside Magistrates Court today (Thursday, September 7). Malachi Boswell, 18, of Hurstbank Avenue, Manchester, has been charged with robbery; possession of an offensive weapon; driving whilst disqualified; and 'other driving offences' following the alleged incident at Sainsbury's.
An investigation into the alleged attempted theft is ongoing. Detective Inspector Michael Jimenez said: "We still need information about Saturday's incident.
