Second man charged in connection with Saltcoats 'torture' murder probe

Police investigating the alleged 'torture' murder of Alan Lawson have charged a second suspect.The 36-year-old died in hospital two days after being found injured outside his home in Saltcoats, Ayrshire.Officers claim he was hurt during an alleged assault which is believed to have taken place at a property in Alexander Avenue, Largs, over the weekend of February 3.Police Scotland have confirmed that a 27-year-old man is now due to appear at Kilmarnock Sheriff Court today in connection with the death.A 29-year-old was previously arrested and charged before appearing in court charged with murder.
