Police search teams have been trawling the River Irwell as the search to find a missing fire service watch manager continues.
A specialist underwater unit was pictured near the water next to the The Lowry hotel this morning (Tuesday). It is close to the area where Daniel Lee was last seen, on the other side of the river in Manchester city centre.
Officers were also spotted taking a boat out onto the canal as part of the search. Tactical Aid Unit officers were pictured trawling the surrounding area and searching bushes next to the water.
A spokesperson for Greater Manchester Police confirmed that the operation was being carried out as part of the search for Daniel Lee.
