A social worker who caused a Jet2 flight to make an emergency landing by shouting and hitting the cabin crew has been pictured for the first time.

Heather Anne McCarroll, a mum-of-two, was on a flight from Belfast to Antalya, Turkey, when she started behaving badly and attacked the staff.

The 38 year old also shouted down the plane's intercom, shocking the other passengers. Her photo has now been released as a judge sentenced her to four months in prison, although she is appealing this decision.

McCarroll, who lives in Cullybackey, Co Antrim, Northern Ireland, admitted to four counts of common assault at Antrim magistrates court.
