Celtic have told Scott Robertson he won't be offered a new deal this summer with a host of clubs on both sides of the border now chasing the midfielder's signature.

The 21-year-old was informed by boss Ange Postecoglou that he has no future at the club despite being part of the squad which played in Australia at the recent Sydney Cup and is expected to move on next month. Record Sport understands a switch to St Mirren and a possible reunion with old team-mate Scott Brown at Fleetwood Town are options for a player who's enjoyed successful loan spells as Gillingham, Doncaster Rovers and Crewe earlier in his career.

Robertson made his senior debut as an 18-year-old against CFR Cluj in a Europa League group stage fixture in 2019 when Neil Lennon was at the helm.

The midfielder is highly regarded by a host of League One clubs down south. The fierce competition for a first team start at Celtic and frustration at a lack of game time will now see Robertson exit the club.
