Scott Brown insists the relentless attacking football of Celtic’s Treble chasers is every bit as impressive as the Invincibles side he captained under Brendan Rodgers.And the Hoops hero admits watching Ange Postecoglou imprint his philosophy on the Scottish game is benefiting his own dug out career south of the border as he takes his first steps into management at Fleetwood Town.
Brown has watched in admiration as Postecoglou’s side have stormed to the brink of back-to-back titles as they close in on a domestic clean sweep.Having won 26 of their 28 games so far the current side could eclipse the unbeaten class of 2016-17’s record points tally of 106 - while they also stand just 16 goals shy of the 106 goals they rattled in under Rodgers six years ago.
Relentless was a word continuously associated with Rodgers’ Hoops who went on to clinch four successive Trebles after Neil Lennon replaced the Englishman.
And Brown insists there’s obvious parallels between the two teams. He said: “Both sides had that ‘never stop’ mantra. "Whether you go to the 90th minute or the 97th minute you have to have that belief and drive in you that you want to win the game.
