Scott Brown has been linked with the St Johnstone vacancy – but the Celtic hero could make his SPFL return in a PLAYER capacity.The 38-year-old retired in 2022 following a spell as player-coach at Aberdeen which brought the curtain down on a glittering career primarily spent at Celtic.
He is one of the Parkhead club's most decorated players, having started his career at Hibs, and he turned out for a legends XI during David Gray's testimonial last month.
He is one of the names being mentioned with the vacant St Johnstone managerial vacancy after being sacked by English League One club Fleetwood Town, his first boss job.
But the Scotsman claim SPFL newcomers Spartans have had the former midfielder training with their first-team. It's suggested "experiences at Fleetwood have alerted him to the need to make smart choices as he weighs up his next job".
