Scots woman duped out of more than £1000 by cold caller scammer

dailyrecord.co.ukDumbarton. Officers from Police Scotland are warning the public to be on alert after the 53-year-old received a phone call from a male pretending to be from the fraud department at her bank.
The callous criminal said he was ringing in relation to alleged fraudulent activity on her bank account. The woman was led to believe that her bank account had been compromised and that her money should be transferred into another account to safeguard her.
