A massive hand-reared stag is missing after a red deer enclosure at a Perthshire wildlife park was vandalised. Devastated workers at Auchingarrich Wildlife Park fear magnificent Harris - who is three times larger than the average stag - was let out deliberately so he could be hunted.
They now face a race against time to trace the tame, gentle giant who responds to his animal keeper’s voice. Park manager and head animal keeper at Auchingarrich, Kevin Campbell, said: “Harris was king of Auchingarrich. “I fear he’s worth a great deal dead because of his magnificent antlers.
