A Scots thug lobbed a TV out his flat window which missed a woman standing below by just inches.Mathew Black chucked the television through the glass in his second floor home after having a “meltdown”.A woman on the street was left terrified as the set smashed down right next to her.Black, 25, appeared at Edinburgh Sheriff Court on Wednesday and admitted culpable and reckless conduct.Fiscal depute Clare Green said the incident took place in Market Street in Haddington, East Lothian.Ms Green said the woman was going to her car when she heard a “smashing noise” from above and the TV missed her “by a matter of inches”.She added: “A large amount of glass landed on the bonnet of the vehicle from the window above.”The court heard Black was seen hanging out the second floor and the woman took photos of him.Police were called to the scene on February 3 and officers arrested Black.Defence agent David Storrie said dad-of-one Black was suffering from “poor” mental health at the time and “described himself as having a meltdown”.Mr Storrie added: “Clearly he appreciates how irresponsible his actions were and he is thankful no one was struck by the television.”Sheriff John Cook deferred sentence until next month for reports.
