A Scots street has been locked down due to an ongoing "disturbance" with a huge police presence at the scene.Emergency services raced to Glebe Street in Cambuslang on November 11 responding to reports of an incident.
The public have been asked to stay away from the area.Images show several police cars, fire engines and a cordon in place. One eyewitness reported that firefighters told members of the public it was not safe and there was a hazard.A hazmat team accompanied by firefighters and police can also be seen entering what appears to be a shop inside the cordon but the full nature of the incident is unknown.A spokesperson for Police Scotland said: "Officers are in attendance following an ongoing disturbance in the Glebe Street area of Cambuslang.
The incident is contained and there is no risk to the wider public."Road closures are in place at Croft Road, Greenlees Road, Howieshill Road and Vicarland Road.
The public are asked to avoid this area while emergency services deal with the incident."The Scottish Fire and Rescue Service confirmed four engines were at the scene and working alongside Police Scotland.
