A Scottish singer has been crowned one of the world's best at karaoke. Rebecca Traynor, of Edinburgh, finished in the top ten at the Karaoke World Championships in Norway.
The 25-year-old made it into the competition after submitting an audition video of her singing ‘You Raise Me Up.’ Judges from all over the world chose optical assistant, Rebecca, plus 30 other soloists as their finalists.
All in all there were 17 countries in total competing at the competition, with some nations having multiple representatives.
Those aiming for the world title had to compete in three rounds; the opening, the top twenty and the final round that saw the top ten sing for the top crown.
