A Scots man who was charged in connection with a social media image mocking the death of tragic George Floyd has been released.
The 26-year-old was due to appear at Dundee Sheriff Court today but was liberated from custody.It came as police confirmed a second arrest of a 29-year-old man in over the incident.
The image, which appeared on social media in the early hours of Tuesday morning, showed two men staging the death scene of Mr Floyd with one man kneeling on the neck of another.
It was accompanied by a caption which read: “George Floyd challenge 2020. Raise awareness.” But the Crown Office confirmed that the 26-year-old man had been released from custody this afternoon without appearing in court for his case to call at a later date.Ge
