crashing his car down an embankment and coming to a rest between railway tracks. Craig Thomson fled officers in his Honda Civic with a 16-year-old relative in the passenger seat and was pursued across East Lothian into Edinburgh.
The teen suffered injuries including a fractured arm and leg in the smash after Thomson lost control.Earlier he’d repeatedly driven on the opposite side of the road and went the wrong way on a roundabout in a bid to lose police.
Thomson, 29, appeared at Edinburgh Sheriff Court on Thursday and pled guilty to causing serious injury to the teenager by driving dangerously while under the influence of drugs.
