A Scots dad drowned at a water park in Florida while on holiday with his wife and son. Doug Reid suffered a heart attack while snorkelling at Discovery Cove in Orlando on July 8.The 51-year-old was found unresponsive in a pool by staff at the resort who pulled him out of the water.
He was taken to a local hospital but later passed away. Doug, from Ellon in Aberdeen, had flown out for a two-week trip with wife Angela and their son Sam, just five days before the tragedy.
The devastated family were forced to cut their holiday short and are now making arrangements to bring Doug home.Wife Angela said: "Doug was snorkelling at Discovery Cove.
He had a heart attack and then drowned in the reef."After being rescued and transported to a local hospital he sadly passed away."Sam and I are totally heartbroken.
