A manhunt has been launched for a masked sex offender who attacked a woman in a park at night. The 6ft tall middle aged man was wearing a balaclava when he approached the woman, 46, in Powrie Park, near Cheviot Crescent, in Fintry, Dundee, last night.
The man, described as having a heavy/athletic build, with broad shoulders, carried out the attack at around 7.25pm. Police Scotland say he was wearing a black hooded zipper, black jogging bottoms and black and white trainers and made off in the direction of Jack Martin Way.
A post on the force's Tayside Police Division Facebook page said CCTV footage is being gathered and reviewed for any additional information as part of the police probe.
But officers are also keen to speak to anyone who was in the area around this time, including two potential witnesses - a dog walker and a man on an electric bike who were seen in the park.
