Huge Scots cannabis farm worth £750k seized by cops as six charged

Police have seized £750,000 worth of cannabis during a bust at a house in East Ayrshire. Six people have been charged after divisional officers and those from Ayrshire Proactive Crime Team were called to a property on West Langlands Street in Kilmarnock at around 10am on Wednesday, January 18.

It was there that cops discovered a cannabis cultivation with an estimated street value in excess of £750,000. The men, aged 20, 23, 23, 32, 36 and 36, are expected to appear at Kilmarnock Court on Thursday, January 19.In the meantime, anyone with any information about drug crime in their area are being urged to get in touch with police in the hopes that such activity can be eradicated altogether.Detective Sergeant Terry McEwan of the Ayrshire Proactive Crime Team said: “One of main priorities is removing drugs from our street."I would ask anyone with any information about drug activity in their area to report this to us so that we can investigate thoroughly.“Anyone with information should call Police Scotland on 101 or alternatively Crimestoppers can be contacted on 0800 555 111, where anonymity can be maintained.” Don't miss the latest news from around Scotland and beyond - Sign up to our daily newsletter here.
