care home is in lockdown after a massive outbreak of coronavirus. A total of 19 staff members and 24 residents at the Fairview facility, operated by HC One, have tested positive for Covid-19 this week.
A letter which was sent out to relatives this week states that movement in and out of the home will be restricted for an initial period of 28 days.
Routine visits from families are postponed during this time, and no non-essential visitors will be permitted to enter.New admissions are also being deferred until after the 28 days.Bosses say they are "monitoring the situation closely" and the affected individuals were put in self-isolation immediately.They say regular testing is ongoing for both staff and residents, meaning they can "respond.
