A Scots army veteran has proposed to his partner at his university graduation. Steven Bell, who celebrated his birthday the same day he received his degree at Glasgow's Royal Concert Hall, decided to make the day a little extra special by proposing to Clark, 31, from Edinburgh.
The 34-year-old 3 SCOTS veteran received his BSc (Honours) in Geography and Environmental Science on Friday, October 25, alongside 660 graduates of the Open University after four years of study, reports Glasgow Live.
Steven had posed alongside his boyfriend pretending they were just taking photos to celebrate his graduation. But as Clark looked at the camera, he dropped to one knee in an emotional moment for the pair, which was captured on video.
After agreeing to marry his partner Clark said: "I'm shocked. Very shocked. I didn't expect that at all. But I'm so happy. I’m incredibly proud of Steven’s hard work and dedication—this day couldn’t be more perfect.
